From the last meetings luke Eastwood has stepped down as chairman of Northfleet carnival and passed it over to Helen Cox. I would like to congratulate her on her new role while should see the carnival live on for many more years to come.
We've had new people join the committee over the last couple of meeting and also now a few new roles that have been taken so we have
Helen Cox - chairperson
Luke Eastwood - vice chairman / traffic manager
Chris Bennett - transport manager
Kevin Coleman - traffic manager
David little - media manager
Each year a new committee is elected and this was the case on 29th October 2017. A number of the committee have stood down to take some deserved time out after faithfully serving for quite a number of years as volunteers; we have a new chairman in Luke Eastwood who I am sure will do a great job with his team. The new committee have already made a number of changes; we have confirmed the date for Sat 7th July 2018, and themed the carnival for the "Riverside" taking account the rich heritage of our town. There are a number of changes taking place which should improve the event, we will update you indue course. Meanwhile Lorna and I will be staying on as advisers to ensure a smooth transition.
Steve Nolan (outgoing Chair).
